Amazing jazz café. They play finely selected jazz tunes on a vinyl player. Huge speakers fill the room with great music. Personally I think the volume is a bit too loud, so it’s advisable to sit away from the speakers. During daytime you’re not allowed to talk or make noise to enjoy the music, which gives the place a special charm. I had their iced coffee for ¥690. Nice coffee. Atmosphere is intimate, good to chill, read, write or just enjoy the music. Staff is friendly. They have free Wi-Fi. You have some magazines to read and can order some coffee + food set (they have quiche, cake…). Some people said it’s hard to find, but to be honest I just followed Google Maps indications and arrived easily.

A well-appointed café filled with vibrant sound. This café is run and operated by an elder man who manages the kitchen operations while also controlling the playlist on live vinyl, never missing a beat in either. The space is intimate yet inviting, lined with wooden walls and chairs from the mid-century. The sound system is rich and immersive, making every note feel alive. Patrons quietly sip coffee or whiskey, letting the music take center stage. The atmosphere is reverent—this is a place for true jazz lovers. Whether you’re a longtime aficionado or a curious listener, Eagle offers a rare kind of listening experience: warm, precise, and deeply personal. Don’t talk, don’t speak. Embrace the sound and vibe of an old-school jazz kissa without the smoke.

This place is special. If you would find the best listening spot (you know what I mean if you’re into room acoustics), the listening experience is immersive since the room is very huge. They play modern jazz from 530pm, for an hour or so. It’s different from many traditional jazz kissa which only play 60s jazz. The music I listened that day includes some more ambient kind of jazz, and I think it’s what this place excels due to its large space and powerful speakers. After the modern session they return to play classical jazz pieces. The food however was not good on the day I visited. I hope they could improve this overall a must visit for jazz kissa lovers!

This is the real jazz kissa experience with a phenomenal sound-system and soft wood interiors. The lunch special is reasonable and includes a coffee. The Japanese mountain vegetable and mushroom pasta is light and tasty. No chatting, so don’t come hear to socialize but to convene with the gods of jazz.

I had a good experience here with my friend. They play jazz music on the wall speakers. It’s quiet loud and you aren’t allowed to talk before 6pm. So I sat and worked in my laptop with the free WiFi. Other people read books here. I ordered the white and red wine with cheese. It was good, no complaints

Eagle is a Jazz TEMPLE! It being required not talking in this case is valid. The jazz being played is very well curated. The sound system is amazing! Yes, the music is played on a high volume, yet it brings out the nuances you almost never hear. We truly enjoyed visiting the Eagle during lunch time. A must for Jazz lovers! *note, if you want to talk, or are indifferent to jazz.......... this joint is not for you. The food is simple. Service is good. Enjoy!
